The Gwendolyn Giboney-Strickland Scholarship for Education
Gwendolyn (Gwen) Giboney-Strickland, Mary Giboney's first child, has always been a champion for education. As the first of five children to attend and graduate from college then developing a career as an educator, Gwen has always been focused on the importance of education within the family and community.
In honor of Gwen and her legacy, the Gwendolyn Giboney-Strickland Scholarship for Education has been created to provide financial support for a student of a minority background (African-American, Latino, and native American) pursuing a degree in Education at an accredited four-year university. Detailed requirements and value of the scholarship will be released in January, 2021.
